10 small ways

to make the world a better place is a blog written by Dustin Wax about random kindness. It's what makes the world go round isn't it?

Dreamer.me

Dreamer.me is a search engine. "The way it works is that you search the internet like normal and money from your clicks go to charity. It's very easy to use, and it returns google search results. It doesn't cost any money and hardly any time. I hope you will use it.", quoted from an article written by the creator of Dreamer.me on a site called "How to make the world a better place".  Thought it was cool, so I'm sharing it with you.

A wonderful blog

This blog truly is Down to Earth .  She has just announced that she will not be able to blog every day because she will be working on a book, but her archives are just full of all kinds of good things.  I wish her well!

Honesty

Just watched the show 30 days at an ecovillage in Missouri called The Dancing Rabbit  .  The folks who live and work this ecovillage are incredible and I commend them for showing us the way and living in a way that they can be proud.  As for myself, I came to the conclusion that is probably not the lifestyle for me and I was upset about that, disappointed in myself, but it is what it is.  That is not to say that there are no options for me.  There are plenty.  Here are just a few.

1.  use the funny light bulbs
2.  conserve water (shorter showers, don't flush everytime, use less water to wash dishes)
3.  home garden
4.  eat less meat
5.  drive less
6.  less trash
7.  turn things off when not using them.

Hopefully as I learn, this list will get much longer :)

Permaculture design

Why?

Are things like this happening?  I know I sit in my safe kitchen, in my safe neighborhood, in my safe country and am not as aware of things as I should be.  But with awareness comes the unbelievable urge to take my family and run for the hills.

Murder

Rape

Our moral thermometer has ever been backsliding, and it's getting worse every year.

Cattle Farts are blasting 18% of Greenhouse Gases

With that in mind, has anybody tried drinking silk milk?  It's yummy.
Lol, yeah, I'm never going to break into the advertisement biz at this rate :(.
Just a thought, but honestly, health wise, better off without fake milk and going with the real thing. ;)

Just a question

If our society goes to shit, what about medical stuff?  I mean, herbal remedies, holistic, but what about surgeries?  I wonder if there is anything out there about that?

What is permaculture?

Permaculture is definitely an answer to some of the problems we are facing in our near future.

Raw Food World

More about growing food and a little about permaculture.

Somethings new are not so new

I was introduced to this book 18 years ago. Books like these help the mind to move forward, past all the now and the dependencies we have on fossil fuels, technology, and money. Folks have been out there for decades trying to shed this light on the human race. These pioneers were snickered at and not taken seriously, like most pioneers, but the seeds are sprouting.

FIRST EARTH Uncompromising Ecological Architecture

These videos are about more than just building architecture.  They are about community architecture, self architecture, and planet architecture along with how to survive ourselves as a species.  And then, it's about how building with earth is a great thing :).  Enjoy!
